Your Treatment Journey
What to expect at every stage.
- Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, and fish oil for 1 week.
- Avoid alcohol, exercise, and caffeine 24 hours before.
- Hydrate well — aim for 2 litres of water per day for 24 hours prior. Your hydration affects the quality of the blood draw.
- A small blood sample is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to isolate PRF
- The PRF is then heated and cooled with albumin-rich plasma to form a gel
- The gel is injected into target areas. A numbing agent is applied for comfort.
- Swelling, redness, and firmness are common for up to 2 weeks.
- Do not ice the area for the first 72 hours. After that, cool packs may be used
- Avoid makeup for 4–12 hours. No facials, massages, or pressure for 2 weeks.
