Peels & Glow

VI Peels

A medical-grade chemical peel that resurfaces the skin from within. Clarity, even tone, and smoother texture — visible in one week.

  • VI Peels use a proprietary blend of TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, and vitamin C — formulated to exfoliate and stimulate new collagen.
  • Three formulations available, matched to your concern: sun damage, acne-prone skin, or first-time peel patients.
  • Applied in-clinic, washed off at home 4 hours after treatment. Peeling typically begins day 3 and eases by day 7.

WHERE CAN A VI PEEL HELP?

Why the skin loses clarity and how a VI Peel addresses the cause.

Pigmentation, acne marks, fine lines, and dull texture all begin in the same place: damaged or accumulated dead skin cells blocking the skin's natural renewal cycle. A VI Peel uses a carefully balanced blend of exfoliating acids to remove the damaged outer layers and stimulate new collagen production beneath.

The peel can be applied to the face, neck, chest, and hands — wherever sun damage, pigmentation, or texture irregularity has accumulated.

Sun damage & age spots

Repeated UV exposure causes melanin to accumulate unevenly in the skin's surface layers — producing flat dark spots, patchy tone, and a weathered texture. The exfoliating acids in a VI Peel remove damaged surface cells and interrupt the pigment cycle, gradually improving the appearance of sun-related discolouration.

Hyperpigmentation & melasma

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and melasma sit in the upper layers of the skin — making them well-suited to chemical exfoliation. The Precision Plus formulation specifically targets excess melanin production, with potent brightening actives that may improve the appearance of dark marks and uneven tone. Melasma requires an ongoing management approach — a single peel is a meaningful step, not a cure.

Post-acne marks

The dark marks left behind after a breakout (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) are a surface-level pigment response — not a structural scar. VI Peels, particularly the Purify with Precision Plus formulation, address this discolouration while simultaneously targeting congestion and blemish activity. Where atrophic (textural) scarring is also present, your provider may recommend pairing with microneedling.

Fine lines & surface texture

Fine lines and uneven skin texture are signs that the skin's natural renewal cycle has slowed. The VI Peel accelerates cellular turnover and stimulates new collagen in the upper dermis — improving the appearance of fine lines and surface roughness progressively over 10–14 days post-peel.

Dull or congested skin

Accumulated dead skin cells on the surface dull the complexion and block effective penetration of any skincare applied on top. A VI Peel removes this layer entirely — revealing newer, clearer skin beneath and resetting the skin's baseline for better product absorption going forward.

Why it works for you

Matched to your concern. Not a generic formula.

Three formulations, each targeting a different primary concern. Your provider selects the right peel at consultation.

Ideal For

  • Sun damage, age spots, and uneven tone
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and melasma
  • Mild to moderate fine lines and texture
  • Blemish-prone skin and post-acne marks

Does Not Treat

  • Deep acne scarring (atrophic, icepick) — see Microneedling
  • Significant skin laxity — see RF Microneedling or Sculptra
  • Volume loss — see Dermal Fillers
  • Active acne cysts — treat the acne first

One peel, visible change — not a six-month commitment

Unlike treatments that require a series before you see anything, a single VI Peel delivers a visible difference. By day 14, most patients see noticeably clearer, more even skin. A series of 2–3 peels builds on that result — but you don't have to commit to multiples to know whether it works for your skin.

The peel does the work at home — you just wash it off

The solution is applied in-clinic in about 30 minutes. You leave with it on. Four hours later, you wash it off at home. Over the next 3–7 days, your skin peels naturally — shedding the damaged layers and revealing fresher skin beneath. A post-peel kit is included with instructions for the peeling days.

Three formulations, not three treatments

Original, Precision Plus, and Purify with Precision Plus aren't three different products to buy — they're three formulations your provider selects based on your concern. You don't need to know which one to choose. Your provider assesses your skin and matches the right peel at consultation.

How it works

Exfoliation at the dermal level. New collagen stimulated below.

A VI Peel works through a carefully balanced blend of acids that penetrate beyond the surface to the upper dermis — dissolving the bonds holding dead and damaged skin cells together, and triggering your skin's own collagen production in the layer below.

Unlike surface exfoliation, the VI Peel reaches the level where real structural change occurs. The controlled peeling process over days 3–7 is the skin shedding its damaged outer layers to reveal the newer, clearer skin beneath.

1. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM A FACIAL FEEL?

-Medium-depth. Not surface-level.
A VI Peel penetrates more deeply than an enzyme or light acid peel. The trade-off a few days of peeling, is what delivers the visible improvement in tone, texture, and clarity. The skin's renewal cycle is accelerated in a structured, medically supervised way, not disrupted randomly.

2. WHAT IS IN THE PEEL?

  • TCA (trichloroacetic acid) — controls depth of exfoliation.
  • Retinoic acid — supports cell turnover and collagen stimulation.
  • Salicylic acid — penetrates pores, addresses congestion and blemish-prone skin.
  • Phenol — analgesic and exfoliating agent.
  • Vitamin C — antioxidant support for brightening.

Questions & Answers

What patients ask before they book.

Does it hurt?

A mild tingling or warmth is common during application. Most patients find it very tolerable. The peel is left to absorb and washed off at home 4 hours after treatment.

What does the peeling look like?

Peeling typically begins around day 3 and eases by day 7. Skin may feel tight and flake in sheets — not dramatic patches. Do not pick or pull at the skin; allow it to shed naturally.

When will I see results?

Most patients see the full clarity reveal at day 14, once all peeling has resolved and new skin has settled. Some notice improved radiance from day 7.

Can I wear makeup during the peel week?

Avoid all topical products for 4 hours post-treatment. During peeling days, keep skin clean and minimally touched. Your provider's post-peel kit guidance takes priority over your normal routine.

Is it suitable for my skin tone?

VI Peels are formulated for all Fitzpatrick skin types. Your provider assesses suitability at consultation, particularly for darker skin tones where pigmentation risk must be carefully managed.

How often can I get a VI Peel?

Most patients complete a series of 2–3 peels, spaced several weeks apart. Maintenance peels can be scheduled as needed. Your provider advises based on your skin's response.
