How it works

What treatment may include - based on your symptoms and labs, not a menu

Treatment is individualized, lab-guided, and reassessed over time. Not every patient is a candidate for every therapy.

  • Hormone optimization — Assessment and optimization of key hormones including estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. May include BHRT, cycle support, or targeted hormone therapy.
  • GLP-1 & weight management — For patients where labs identify metabolic factors, your provider may recommend GLP-1 therapy as part of a broader plan. Always paired with nutrition and lifestyle support. Never prescribed in isolation.
  • Functional & integrative medicine — Systems-based approach: functional lab testing, metabolic and nutrient analysis, gut health, inflammation assessment, and adrenal/cortisol evaluation.
  • Women's hormone health — Specialised support for perimenopause, menopause, cycle-related symptoms, and postpartum hormone shifts.
  • Men's health and performance — Support for men experiencing age-related hormonal decline — testosterone evaluation, metabolic and weight management, sleep and stress optimization.
  • Thyroid health— Evaluation and management of thyroid disorders, including individualized thyroid medication management, thyroid function testing, and assessment of contributing factors such as nutrient status and metabolic health.
  • Fertility, preconception & postpartum health— Support for optimizing foundational health, nutrition, metabolic function, and hormones before conception and navigating the hormonal and physiological changes of the postpartum period.

Questions & Answers

What patients ask before they book.

What happens at the first appointment?

An in-depth consultation to review your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. Your provider determines relevant lab tests. No treatment prescribed at this visit.

Do I need lab work?

Yes. Treatment is lab-guided. Comprehensive testing through Quest Diagnostics is required before any therapy is recommended.

What happens during an integrative medicine visit?

We take a comprehensive look at your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, medications, supplements, and laboratory data to better understand the full picture. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we look for patterns and contributing factors that may be affecting your health. Your plan may include targeted nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, supplements, medication when appropriate, and ongoing follow-up.

Is this a weight-loss programme?

No. If lab evaluation identifies metabolic factors, your provider may recommend metabolic support as part of a broader plan. We do not prescribe weight therapies in isolation.

Do you treat men?

Yes. Comprehensive support for men experiencing age-related hormonal decline, including testosterone evaluation and metabolic health.

How long before I feel a difference?

Varies by individual and treatment plan. Some patients notice changes within weeks; others require months of ongoing optimisation. Your provider sets realistic expectations.

Who is my provider?

Jennifer Ha, FNP — board-certified nurse practitioner specialising in hormone and integrative health. She leads your care from evaluation through ongoing follow-up.

Your Treatment Journey

What to expect at every stage.

  • This is where we slow down and look at the full picture. We’ll talk through your health history, current symptoms, medications, supplements, lifestyle, goals, and the changes you’ve noticed in your body.
  • You don’t need to know exactly what is wrong before you come in. You may be coming in for fatigue, weight changes, irregular cycles, brain fog, digestive concerns, low libido, thyroid symptoms, hormonal changes, or simply because you don’t feel like yourself. We’ll start where you are.
  • I’ll listen for patterns and connections between your symptoms, history, and overall health rather than looking at each concern in isolation.
  • Together, we’ll determine what is worth investigating further. Based on your history and clinical evaluation, I’ll determine which labs are most relevant to your specific concerns and goals.
  • We’ll take the time to understand the bigger picture before deciding what comes next. Together, we’ll determine the next steps that make the most sense for your health, symptoms, and goals.
  • Your lab work is individualized to you. I do not order the same panel for every patient. Your testing is based on your symptoms, history, medications, goals, and what we are trying to understand.
Labs are completed through Quest Diagnostics. Once your labs are ordered, you can schedule directly with a Quest location that works for you.
  • Your lab order will be electronically linked to your appointment. You can schedule your lab appointment directly through the Quest scheduling process, and your order will be available to the location you select.
  • Depending on your plan, lab work may include evaluation of hormones, thyroid function, metabolic health, nutrient status, inflammation, and other markers relevant to your individual concerns.
  • Labs are one part of the picture—not the whole picture. Results are interpreted alongside your symptoms, health history, and clinical context.

  • schedule your Quest appointment here
  • This is where we review your results together. I’ll walk you through what your labs mean, how they may connect to your symptoms, and which findings are most important to focus on.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and understand the “why” behind your recommendations. My goal is for you to leave understanding your plan—not feeling like you were handed a list of medications and supplements.
  • Your treatment plan is personalized to your needs and goals. Depending on what we find, it may include hormone therapy, thyroid medication management, GLP-1 therapy when clinically appropriate, targeted supplementation, nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, or additional testing.
  • Not every patient needs every treatment. Your plan is based on your individual clinical picture—not a predetermined protocol or menu of services.
  • We focus on what is most relevant first. Sometimes that means starting with one or two key changes rather than trying to change everything at once.
  • Your plan can evolve as you do. Follow-up visits may include reviewing your response to treatment, reassessing symptoms, repeating or adjusting labs, and refining your plan over time.
  • Your follow-up visits are where we assess how you’re feeling and how your body is responding to your plan. We’ll review progress, discuss what has changed, and make adjustments when needed.
  • Your treatment plan is not set in stone. Medications, hormone therapy, supplements, nutrition, and lifestyle recommendations may be adjusted over time based on your symptoms, goals, response to treatment, and follow-up lab work when appropriate.
  • When medications or supplements are part of your plan, I’ll walk you through how and why they fit into your care.
  • If supplements are recommended, you can conveniently access your personalized recommendations through Fullscript. Your recommendations are curated based on your individual needs, and products can be shipped directly to your home if you choose. Fullscript.
  • Over time, we continue to connect the dots. Your symptoms, lab work, and response to treatment help guide what comes next.
  • This is an ongoing partnership—not a one-time protocol. As your health, goals, and needs change, your care can evolve with you.

What patients commonly experience

Why hormones shift — and what that can feel like.

Hormonal changes are a normal part of life. The symptoms they create are real. We evaluate the underlying biology and build a plan around what your labs actually need.

Fatigue & low energy

Persistent tiredness that does not resolve with sleep. May relate to hormonal decline, thyroid function, nutrient deficiency, or metabolic factors.

Mood changes & irritability

Shifts in mood or emotional regulation. Hormonal fluctuations can influence neurotransmitter balance. Evaluated as part of the full clinical picture.

Weight changes

Unexplained weight gain or difficulty losing weight. May relate to metabolic, hormonal, or thyroid factors. Evaluated through labs before any treatment.

Sleep disturbances

Difficulty falling or staying asleep. Hormonal shifts commonly disrupt sleep architecture.

Hot flashes & night sweats

Vasomotor symptoms associated with declining oestrogen. Among the most common reasons patients seek evaluation.
