Where can PRF Injections help?

PRF delivers your own concentrated growth factors to specific areas where collagen stimulation and skin quality improvement are the goal.

Full face

Applied topically after micro-needling for enhanced absorption and collagen stimulation.

Under-eyes

May help improve the appearance of dark circles and hollowing by supporting collagen in the delicate under-eye skin.

Smile lines

Supports skin quality in an area that often thins with age.

Why it works for you

Matched to your concern. Not a generic formula.

PRF delivers your own concentrated growth factors to the areas where your skin needs them most. What we address, and what requires a different approach, is based on your provider's assessment — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Ideal For

  •  Under-eye dark circles & hollowing
  • Skin quality improvement (texture, tone)
  • Patients wanting a fully autologous (no synthetic) approach
  • Pairing with microneedling for enhanced collagen stimulation

Does Not Treat

  • Significant volume restoration — see Dermal Fillers
  • Expression wrinkles — see Neuromodulators
  • Structural collagen rebuilding — see Sculptra
  • Deep acne scars — see Acne Scar Treatments

Second-generation concentrate — no additives, no shortcuts

PRF is not PRP. Unlike PRP, which uses anti-coagulants that dilute the concentrate, PRF is processed without any additives — allowing the full fibrin matrix to form naturally. This means a slower, more sustained release of growth factors over days and weeks, not a single burst. The difference matters at the cellular level, and it's why we chose PRF over PRP at The Skin Clinic.

Applied where it can actually reach the dermis

PRF can be injected directly into target areas (under-eyes, smile lines) or applied topically during microneedling. When applied topically, the micro-channels created by the needles allow PRF to penetrate past the surface barrier and into the dermis — where growth factors can actually stimulate collagen production. Without those channels, topical application sits on the surface and does very little.

Your biology, your timeline — results are gradual by design

PRF results don't appear overnight. Growth factors work over weeks, stimulating collagen production and cellular renewal at the body's own pace. Most patients see texture and tone improvement within weeks, with continued benefits developing over 4–12 months. This is not a limitation — it's how biological repair works. Patients who commit to a series see meaningfully better outcomes than those who treat once.

How it works

Your own biology, concentrated and delivered.

PRF is derived from your own blood — which means your body has already accepted it. There is no foreign substance, no synthetic component.

Just a concentrated version of your own healing biology, delivered where it can support collagen production and skin quality.

01
BLOOD DRAW

A small blood sample is drawn. Let your provider know if you have a history of complications during blood draws.

02
CENTRIFUGE

Your blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate and isolate the platelet-rich fibrin — the growth-factor-dense component.

03
INJECTION OR APPLICATION

PRF is injected into target areas (under-eyes, smile lines) or applied topically during microneedling. Your provider selects the delivery method based on your treatment plan.

Questions & Answers

What patients ask before they book.

What is the difference between PRF and PRP?

PRF is a second-generation concentrate that releases growth factors over a longer period. Unlike PRP, PRF uses no additives or anti-coagulants, allowing the full potential of your body’s natural healing properties.

Can PRF be combined with other treatments?

Yes. PRF is frequently paired with microneedling for enhanced absorption and collagen stimulation. Your provider will recommend pairings based on your goals.

 How long do results last?

Volume improvement may last 3–6 months. Skin quality improvement can last up to 12 months. A series of treatments is recommended for best results. Individual results vary.

Is it safe?

PRF is derived entirely from your own blood. The process is well-established and performed by our board-certified providers.
