RF MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a skincare treatment that uses needles to create micro-injuries on the skin. This technique stimulates the body’s natural healing response, which increases the production of collagen and elastin.
In radiofrequency microneedling (RF), the addition of energy is added for increased collagen promotion, fat destruction, and skin tightening. Microneedling with radiofrequency is also a fantastic treatment for acne scarring.
Pre-Treatment Info
What to do/not to do before
- Avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs like aspirin, Motrin, Advil, ibuprofen, or any other product that isn't Tylenol or acetaminophen) for two weeks before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
- Hydrate: Your hydration status is crucial for an effective treatment. Aim to drink 2 liters of water per day at minimum 2 days prior to treatment.
- Take antiviral medication beginning one day before and continuing for the duration of your treatment if you have a history of cold sores.
- Stop all topical acid-based treatments (such as glycolic, alpha, or beta hydroxy acids), retinol, Retin-A, or other similar products one week before your treatment, and for one week after your treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure before your treatment. Use SPF daily. If you arrive to your appointment tanned, you may be required to reschedule.
- Please arrive to your appointment with a clean, makeup free face (SPF is okay!).
